Fiji Hideaway supports local Fijian villages on the Coral Coast and continues to assist with the building of local medical facilities. Visitors to the Resort are warmly welcomed into the local villages including, a popular pastime with guests, going to a traditional church service in the adjoining Tagaqe Village where the children sing traditional hymns in Fijian.
The Fiji Hideaway Resort & Spa is proud to be a winner of the prestigious SKAL International award for ecotourism. We treasure our spectacular marine life in our lagoon reef and offer visitors the opportunity see it’s wonders with daily reef walks and information tours.
As part of our commitment to the local community Fiji Hideaway Resort and Spa recently undertook a major community project for the local village Taqage. The resort supplied all the materials, fixtures and fittings to build a new house in the grounds of the Taqage School for the new teacher who commenced his role in January 2012. The Resort and Staff of Hideaway are proud to support the local community, especially the children, the future of Fiji.
